Course 11: Mystical Dimensions of Torah II

COURSE DESCRIPTION

In Part II of this course series, we will extend the material learned in Part I. You will delve into the classical kabbalistic concepts of God's attributes of Self-revelation and Self-concealment, as they apply to the "Ohr En Sof" ("Infinite Light of God"), and the "Kelim" ("Vessels") that serve to limit and also reveal the Godly Light to limited levels of existence. The primary focus with be on God's attributes of Greatness and Might, and how they are unified within His attribute of Mercy which provides for the existence of created realms and being which are simultaneously nullified within the surrounding and permeating Infinite Light of God. With this knowledge, you will then proceed to learn the meanings of the "lower perspective of God's Unity" and the "higher perspective of God's Unity," and how they are included one within the other. From this, you will learn the true reconciliation and unification of numerous seemingly contradictory verses about Godly matters that are found in the Hebrew Scriptures.

With the appreciation you will gain about the meaning of "unification" as it is expounded in Hassidic teachings, you will also gain insight into the existence of competing spiritual and physical needs in human nature, and how to unify them for a higher purpose in your own life.
